Notes: For those intersted/available we will make the trek up to this quaint mountain town nestled in the Adirondacks of upstate NY. Planned activities include:

Road ride(s) on River Road
Run(s) - Paved path around Mirror Lake or trail e.g. Heaven Hills
Lake swim (Mirror Lake, water temp dependent)
Hike
Downtime (town or lakeside)

There is no fee for this training camp. The Lake Placid Olympic Training Center (OTC) will be the center of our activities. Optional lodging and meals available at the OTC for athletes for $125 per person per night, including three meals at the cafeteria. (Registration link — scroll to bottom of that page). Lodging and meals will be funded by individual athlete/family. Athletes may stay with their parents or make arrangements to stay with another athlete’s family. More specific details and itinerary will follow based on the number of interested athletes.

Location: Evergreen Lake Campground. Bath, PA

Appropriate for: all groups

Notes: This is a group campout with families the night before Evergreen Lake Triathlon. Casual group dinner, campfires, and best s’more competition highlight the event.

Date: Thursday, June 27

Location: Frenchtown, PA

Appropriate for: all groups

Notes: We meet in Frenchtown, NJ for a group ride down the flat Delaware & Raritan Rail Trail to New Hope, PA / Lambertville, NJ. Free time for lunch at the midpoint of the ride. Crushed gravel path. Gravel, mountain, or road bikes are acceptable. Parents welcome to join.

Location: Jersey shore

Appropriate for: all groups

Notes: Hang out at the beach after the morning race we attend that day. The race will not be appropriate for FF Lights, but all athletes are of course welcome to attend the beach day.

Date: Friday, August 9

Location: Nockamixon State Park, Bucks County, PA

Appropriate for: all groups

Notes: Short mountain bike ride on the trails at Nockamixon State Park (“Nox”, in the parlance of the local MTB community). Mountain bikes are needed for this ride due to the rougher terrain. After the ride we’ll do a short trail run and then a picnic lunch on site. Then we’ll stop in at nearby O Wow Cow, an ice cream shop sourcing its ingredients from local farms.
